Job Description:

Job Brief

We are looking to employ an experienced SAP Senior PP/QM Consultant with cross-functional exposure to MM and CO, capable of supporting end-to-end SAP processes.

Preference will be given to permanent employees, but contractors will also be considered on an agreed retainer.

Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

  • Lead and support SAP PP and QM implementations, enhancements and support projects
  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into SAP solutions
  • Configure and optimize SAP PP/QM processes in line with best practices
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Support integration with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, CO)
  • Conduct user training and support user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing

Specific SAP PP Responsibilities

Configure and support Production Planning processes including:

  • Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Demand Management and Planned Independent Requirements (PIRs)
  • Production Orders and Process Orders
  • Work Centers, Routings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Optimize production planning strategies to improve efficiency and reduce bottleneck
  • Support capacity planning and scheduling
  • Handle production execution issues, including order confirmations and variances
  • Work closely with MM (procurement) to ensure material availability
  • Support integration with CO, including production costing, variance analysis, and settlement
  • Assist with shop floor integration and process improvements
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to MRP runs, planning strategies, and master data

Specific SAP QM Responsibilities

Configure and support Quality Management processes including:

  • Quality Planning (Inspection Plans, Task Lists)
  • Quality Inspection (Incoming, In-Process, Final)
  • Quality Notifications and defect management
  • Manage and support inspection lots and results recording
  • Ensure proper integration between QM and PP/MM for seamless quality checks in procurement and production
  • Support vendor quality management and incoming inspection processes
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Assist with compliance and audit requirements
  • Monitor and improve quality KPIs and reporting
  • Troubleshoot issues related to inspection processing, usage decisions, and quality notifications

Requirements

  • SAP PP Certification (proof will be requested)
  • SAP QM Certification (proof will be requested)
  • SAP Experience in CO and MM advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Effective and efficient workload management
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Minimum 5–8 years of SAP PP/QM experience
  • Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA (advantageous)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and quality processes
  • Experience in end-to-end implementations and support environments
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
